Ohio-specific PS exam references
The 2-hour, Ohio-specific principles and practice of surveying exam is open book. The exam includes 35 multiple-choice questions and one written legal description. You can find 10 sample Ohio PS exam questions here.
For first-time test takers, Ohios PS exam is administered in conjunction with the NCEES Principles and Practice of Surveying exam each April and October. Comity and candidates who've passed the national NCEES exam may take the Ohio two-hour exam in the Board Office by appointment.
Composition of the Ohio-specific PS exam is primarily developed from the references on this page. Reference order is strictly alphabetical by title except for the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code and does not indicate relative importance to exam questions. Links to references are provided as a convenience and do not represent Board endorsement. Most references are available from several sources.
