Renewals Overview Ohio's State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors regulates Professional Engineers [PE], Professional Surveyors [PS], Professional Engineers and Surveyors [DUAL]; and firms [FIRM] offering professional engineering and professional surveying services in Ohio. P.E., P.S. Individuals with an Ohio P.E. or Ohio P.S. have an annual renewal cycle beginning January 1 and ending December 31. NEW! In order to renew your individual P.E. or P.S. license in Ohio for 2008, you will need 15 hours of continuing education [ PDH ] by December 31, 2007. Go to our Continuing education page for information. Firms Firms holding an Ohio Certificate of Authorization to offer engineering or surveying services have an annual renewal cycle beginning July 1 and ending June 30. NEW! Our Certificate of Authorization application forms have major revisions. The Board will only accept ENG 1021-R for the 2007-2008 renewal cycle. Older application forms and fees received for annual Certificate of Authorization renewals will be returned. REMINDER Ohio R.C. Chapter 4733 requires that your firm Certificate of Authorization application has an Ohio Secretary of State charter / registration number. Go to Ohio's Secretary of State website to find your charter / registration number if you don't know it. Go to our Firms page for more information. Address changes It's your responsibility to keep your address current with the Board. The easiest way to update your address is to email the Board with your address change. You can also fax or mail your address update. Unfortunately, we cannot accept address changes over the telephone; we need a written or printed verification. IMPORTANT! A firm name change requires a new application for a Certificate of Authorization. Reinstatement Any individual or firm licensed and regulated by the Board with a license lapsed for more than 12 months will need to be reinstated. Check Ohio eLicense center for your current Ohio license status. Reinstatement procedures differ. You can email your request for reinstatement or mail your request for reinstatement to the Board office. |
